Welcome to RecDesk!

First time users: Please start by creating a parent account and then add other household members. This will allow you to register yourself and your family members for many of our programs, leagues, and events now and in the future.

Online registrations will allow you to register and pay for these things without needing to call or come by the Ottawa Recreation Commission. We will continue to take registrations in person if that’s what you prefer.

Late registrations: Please contact us at 785-242-1939 if you would like to register after the final deadline. Late registrations will only be accepted if there are openings within the desired program. Late registrations will not be accepted if teams or programs are at capacity.

NEW Starfish Swimming Lessons

The ORC is now an independent authorized provider of Starfish Swimming! Starfish Swimming is a nationally recognized swim instruction curriculum developed by the Starfish Aquatics Institute (SAI).

Learn more about SAI at https://www.starfishaquatics.org/

The Starfish Swimming curriculum is designed for students ages 6-months to adults. Benchmarks are established at each stage in the program that combine both swimming and safety skills. Students participate in experiential learning activities that allow them to explore the water in a creative and comfortable environment. Correct swimming techniques are taught from the very beginning, providing an easy transition to advanced techniques and swim team.
